Privacy Notice for Volunteers

RESPONSIBLE PARTY: IDENTITY AND ADDRESS

The party responsible for managing your personal information is The American School Foundation, A.C. (hereinafter referred to as “the School”) domiciled Bondojito No. 215 Col. Las Américas, Álvaro Obregón, 01120 Mexico City.

PERSONAL INFORMATION HANDLED BY THE SCHOOL

For your participation as a volunteer, the School will treat the following personal information:

  • Identification data: full name
  • Contact information: telephone number, email, neighborhood, street, exterior number, interior number, neighborhood or municipality, zip code, city.

PRIMARY PURPOSES

The School will treat this personal data to enroll you as a volunteer at the School, invite you to participate in events organized by the School, as well as send you physical and electronic communications about events organized by the School, where you can participate as a volunteer.

SECONDARY PURPOSES

Unless specified otherwise, once the legal relationship with us has been concluded, the School may retain and process your personal data for the following secondary purposes: to send you invitations and information about future school events according to your interests. If you do not want the School to process your personal data for the aforementioned secondary purposes, please contact us at privacy@asf.edu.mx 

TRANSFERS

Additionally, the School, in order to fulfill the purpose(s) described above or any other purposes provided by law or by the competent authorities, will transfer information only in the events provided by law.

MEANS AND PROCEDURE TO EXERCISE THE ARCO RIGHTS AND REVOKING CONSENTS

You or your legal representative may exercise any of the Access, Rectification, Cancellation or Objection Rights (hereinafter referred to as “ARCO rights”), as well as revoking the consent for personal information management by emailing the School’s Privacy Committee at privacy@asf.edu.mx

Such request should be made through the Sole Application of ARCO Rights Exercise developed by the School and available at http://www.asf.edu.mx/privacy which contains all the elements to serve the request according to the regulations. In order for the Privacy Committee to approve your application, you or your legal representative should properly evidence your identity and for such purposes, all the fields contained in the Application must be completed and a copy of any official identification card indicated therein should be attached.

If the information provided in the application is wrong or insufficient or if the relevant identification documents are not attached then, the Committee, within five (5) working days as or the application reception date, may request submission of the elements or documents required to serve the same. You shall have ten (10) working days to fulfill the request, as of the day following the date in which you received the request. If a response is not received within such term, the request shall be deemed not submitted.

For more information on procedures, requirements and deadlines for the exercise of your ARCO Rights and / or revocation of consent, contact the Privacy Committee.

INFORMATION LIMITATION AND/OR DISCLOSURE

You may limit the use or disclosure of your personal information by emailing your application to the Committee to privacy@asf.edu.mx. The requirements to evidence your identity, as well as the procedure to serve your request will be governed by the same criteria contained in the previous section.

If the request is viable; the Committee will record it in the list of exclusions for the purposes for which the exclusion is applicable.

CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY NOTICE

The School may, at any time, make any changes or alterations to this notice and such changes or alterations shall be made known through its website http://www.asf.edu.mx/privacy and/or through national media outlets.
