The Spanish Book Fair was a Real Page-Turner!

The Spanish Book Fair was a Real Page-Turner!

The Spanish Book Fair hosted a week full of exciting encounters and activities on campus.

On Monday, we received Bernardo Fernández (BEF) and Juan Gedovius, two wonderful graphic authors who came to talk to LS, MS and US students. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed getting their books signed by the authors!

On Tuesday, we welcomed ECC’s Grandparents and a had storyteller for Lower School students during recess. MS and US students and teachers were thrilled later on in the day with the visit of renowned author, Juan Villoro!

Other stellar guests included Kathryn Blair, endearing ASF alumna shared her most personal experiences from her famed novel “A la Sombra del Ángel”, while celebrating her 99th birthday with us; amusing Rodrigo Morlesin, who talked to our LS students about his novel: “Elvis nunca se equivoca”, and how he started his passion for children’s books. Finally, F.G. Haghenbeck: engaged with US graphic art students on the presentation of his award-winning novel: “Deidades Menores” and his collaboration with DC Comics and Netflix.

We would like to give a big shout out to all the volunteers, parents, students, grandparents, faculty, staff, librarians, extraordinary guest authors, administration, FAC, audio, IT, operations, security and Librerías Gandhi, who made out Spanish Book Fair awesome!
