Grade 6 students took over the Wellness Center during two hours for the yearly tianguis, selling a range of different products created using Mazahua honey. The tianguis was beautifully decorated with posters displaying information about each product and its price, and students were in high spirits as they tried to attract customers to their stands.

Products sold included cupcakes, cookies, waffles and other baked goods, sweet popcorn and other munchies, cool drinks and smoothies along with cleaning products like organic soaps and exfoliators and scented candles. Visitors could sample most of the products before choosing their favorite one.

Students were completely responsible for the promoting, preparing, selling and money collecting for each of their stands, showing off their business skills like true pros! This event helped support the Mazahua community from the states of Mexico and Michoacán, and brought together family and friends.
