ASF Students Recognized at Model United Nations in Monterrey

Article by Teacher Roberto Jones

Last weekend, March 4 and 5, our ASF Model United Nations Bears participated at IMMUNS, the Model United Nations conference organized by The American School Foundation in Monterrey.

They had the pleasure of learning about our social mortgage from David Noel Ramírez Padilla, dean of the Monterrey Institute of Technology, and about how to take advantage of the opportunities that life gives us from Paul de Gelder, elite navy diver and shark attack survivor.

However, the most important lessons were learnt through the collaboration of our students as they represented multiple countries to find solutions to corruption, military occupations, the Cyprus cease-fire zone, Operation Condor and the validity of our Electoral Institute.

As always, our Bears were victorious in this competition, receiving both Honorable Mentions and Best Delegate awards. We would like to recognize Eugenio Kuri, Sofia Lin, Jeronimo Gutierrez, Camille Capdepon, Natasha Lippmann, and Emiliano Tornel for their outstanding performance at the conference.
