Congratulations to the Mathcounts Team!

Congratulations to the Mathcounts Team!

Congratulations to the Mathcounts team for their excellent performance at the recent MathCount Competition hosted at Peterson School in Cuajimalpa.

This competition puts Middle School students on a challenge since they have to solve math problems, both relatively easy and others more advanced, in a matter of time and skill. The main purpose of this competition is to prove the student’s problem-solving skills and systemic thinking within a mathematical process.

Fortunately, our students have been practicing regularly during the Mathcounts class, alongside with their two mentors, Mrs. Kristen Leutheuser, Middle School Academic Dean, and Miss Iztchel Alcalá, Mathematics teacher.

There were 40 students participating from Peterson, Westhill and ASF. Proudly, the ASF Bears placed first in the Relay, first and second place in the Team competitions, and 7 out of 10 middle schoolers went to the final individual round. We couldn’t be more pleased with the amazing performance our students had!

Individual Round Update

On May 27, the individual round was held at the Peterson School in Cuajimalpa and ASF Bears placed first and second!
