Homecoming: An ASF Tradition

Homecoming: An ASF Tradition

By Robert Wilson, Head of Athletics and Extended Learning

Homecoming is an annual tradition at ASF! During this year's American football match, ASF won vs Cherokees 20-14. The ASF defense led the way to victory!

As every year, we welcomed back alumni, former residents, and community members. Homecoming is built around a central event, such as a sports or several sports games. When celebrated by schools, the activities vary widely. They usually consist of an American football game played on a school's home football field, activities for students and alumni, clubs, sports teams, and the coronation of a Homecoming Court. It's a celebration of school spirit and pride, where we recognize our teams and the entire community comes together.

This year's homecoming consisted of the following:

  • Volleyball @ 1:00 p.m. in the WEC vs ULSA
  • Swimming Meet @ 3:00 p.m. (internal meet)
  • Tennis Dual Match @ 3:00 p.m. vs TBD
  • American Football Game @ 6:30 p.m. vs Cherokees
  • Parade of Varsity Athletes at Halftime
