Fostering Well-Rounded Individuals: The Importance of Extracurricular Activities

We are proud to have been featured in El Universal's special supplement on education, "Aprendizaje más allá de las aulas" (Learning Beyond the Classrooms), which highlights the critical role of extracurricular activities in student development.

As our Extended Learning Coordinator, Paloma Fuentes, states, "The school stage is very formative: you make friends, develop character, and learn to work with others. And it doesn't just happen in the classroom, but also in what is around it."

By offering our students a comprehensive range of activities that go beyond traditional academics, they are able to pursue their interests, to "recharge their energy, for a moment of learning outside the traditional school framework, to develop their hobbies, and even to have a good attitude toward life and the problems it presents."

They gain important skills through these activities, such as working on a team, becoming more tolerant, responsible, and proactive.

Here at The American School Foundation (Colegio Americano), we are grateful for the opportunity to share our perspective and are committed to continuing to provide an environment where students can explore their passions, build character, and thrive.
