2020-21 Board of Trustees Open Invitation

Dear Members of the ASF Community,

At the beginning of every year, the Board of Trustees initiates the process of identifying, evaluating and, ultimately, proposing members of our community for the open positions on the Board of Trustees and who would like to participate on Board Committees. The Nominating Committee, charged with this duty, is independent of the Board and will report to it only to present its recommendations. I am pleased to chair the committee this year.

Nominating Committee Members

  • Carl Koller – Chair
  • Cecilia Cepeda
  • Rosa Pisinger
  • William Peat
  • Paulina Silva

This year, the Nominating Committee will be proposing five U.S. citizens for Proprietary Trustees and two non-U.S. citizen for Trustees-at-Large positions for Board terms that would begin as of July 1, 2020. All members of the ASF community who are interested in serving on the Board of Trustees or Board Committees should submit an application, including a short cover letter stating their reasons for wanting to serve. The application is available in PDF format here, and on the ASF website at Please click here to review the Nominating Committee Guidelines. Applications must be submitted no later than Friday, February 14, 2020 to Elisa Aguirre, Assistant to the Board, located in the Executive Director’s Office and interviews with potential candidates will then be scheduled.

The ASF Community is rich with many talented and dedicated individuals who would be considered outstanding, contributing members to the Board of Trustees; however, we have a limited number of positions to be filled. As such, in addition to Board Membership, the Nominating Committee will be looking for individuals who could serve on Board Committees. We look forward to meeting committed community members interested in leading ASF into the future.

Yours truly,

Carl Koller
