World Health Organization (WHO)
The World Health Organization focuses on the development of a healthier future for people all over the world. It specializes in “health systems; health through the life-course; non communicable and communicable diseases; preparedness, surveillance and response; and corporate services”. WHO supports countries as they “coordinate the efforts of multiple sectors of the government and partners – including bi- and multilateral, funds and foundations, civil society organizations and private sector – to attain their health objectives and support their national health policies and strategies”. The World Health Organization committee of ASFMUN 2020 would mimic these aspects of the World Health Organization while looking at the topics of that permeate the current drug policy discussion and our the welfare of those who work and live off the street.
