UN Technology Innovation Labs (UNTIL)

“The UN Technology Innovation Labs (UNTIL) are designed to move humanity forward, faster by focusing on the use of innovative technology to solve some of humanity's most pressing needs”. UNTIL is aware of the technological advancement present today for which it believes that it places a key factor in the progressiveness of the United Nations. UNTIL has the ability to innovate and engage with partnerships from all kinds in order to successfully accomplish all of their goals. “The UNTIL Lab programme is designed to support the journey to review, build, adopt and implement technology solutions to address problems that Member States are facing.” UNTIL uses the most “cutting-edge frontier technology such as blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, internet of things, fintech and drones to solve issues such as those of the Sustainable Development Goals".

UNTIL is based on problems that are specific to the location of the Lab rather than to the world as a whole. The goal of this committee is to serve as a start-up so that a UN resources, the Private sector, Academia and Civil Society can work together and solve problems. UNTIL will guide member states by facilitating the way they solve problems through workshops, learning and projects.

During the conference ASFMUN delegates in this committee will have the opportunity to create a technological project in our school's new makerspace
