Breaking Myths About Neurodiversity: ASF Conference Promotes Inclusivity and Understanding

In a proactive effort to cultivate inclusivity and understanding, the American School Foundation (ASF) recently celebrated the International Week of Neurodiversity with the conference "Breaking Myths: Neurodiversity," presented by Services for Academic Inclusion (SAI) and Counselor from all divisions. The event was addressed to faculty and staff, and it aimed to dispel misconceptions surrounding neurodiversity and foster an environment of acceptance and tolerance.

A Weekend of Pop Culture Debates at Churchill College

On March 15th and 16th, the Speech & Debate Team from ASF showcased their rhetorical prowess at a tournament hosted by Churchill College, centered around the vibrant theme of pop culture. This event provided a platform for discussions on a myriad of topics, ranging from the intricacies of video games and addictive behaviors to the influential power of celebrity platforms and social activism.

ASF Art Students Shine at Art Show

Last Sunday, February 25th, the Upper School National Honor Society (NHS) Officers and members recently had the honor of hosting 65 athletes and friends for Special Olympics. It was a day filled with fun and excitement as basketball, volleyball, soccer, and Dodgeball matches developed. The true spirit of inclusivity and teamwork defined the event as everyone had a great time.

Celebrating Inclusivity: ASF Hosts Special Olympics

A new Wall of Tiles: Tribute and Legacy at ASF's Fine Arts Center

On February 8th, our Head of School, Mr. Kolia O'Connor, unveiled a striking wall of tiles, which we now proudly host at The Ángeles Espinosa Yglesias Fine Arts Center’s backstage hallway, showcasing the immense artistic talent of Ms. Adele Goldschmied and the ceramics students who learned from her from 1983 to 1998. This initiative serves to immortalize the artistic legacy of our esteemed art students, offering inspiration to future generations.

AI Unveiled: Exploring Innovation at ASF Talks 11th Edition

The 11th edition of ASF Talks happened this February 8th at the school’s Fine Arts Center. The theme of this year’s talks was the forefront of technology and innovation – Artificial Intelligence! Alumni, staff and faculty, students and parents alike were among our attendees, excited to see how ASF’s six Alumni speakers have incorporated Artificial Intelligence into their various fields of work.

Call to the General Meeting of The American School Foundation, A.C.

The Board of Trustees calls Associates of THE AMERCIAN SCHOOL FOUNDATION, A.C. (the “Association”) to the Annual General Meeting of the Association, which will be held on Thursday May 19, 2022 at 6:00 PM (Mexico City time) in the Angeles Espinosa Yglesias Fine Arts Center (FAC) located at Bondojito 215, Las Americas, Mexico City and through Zoom app.
