Shipping your personal belongings to Mexico can be tricky. It is important that you make sure that you already have your work visa before your items enter the country;  they will otherwise not clear through customs. If they do not go through customs successfully you will probably have to pay a large amount of money in storage fees, as well as taxes on your belongings.
