The American School Foundation, A.C. is committed to promoting diversity within its community as stated in its vision and mission. ASF offers Financial Aid for students from kindergarten through grade 12.
Accordingly, recruitment efforts are intended to enrich the already diverse student body, focusing on children and families who excel in the areas of academics, athletics, arts, entrepreneurship and community service, among others, but who might not otherwise have access to an ASF education.
To guide the Financial Aid Committee in granting discounts and scholarships based on the family’s demonstrated financial need, all Financial Aid applicants must follow the enlisted procedures.
- All ASF families and new families to ASF interested in applying for financial aid for the 2021-22 school year must apply between Tuesday, October 20, 2020 and Friday, January 15, 2021. New families must contact the Admission and Financial Aid office for information on the process.
- All applicant families must pay a non-refundable application fee that covers the cost of the socioeconomic study. The application, required documents and instructions will be sent by email with a due date indicating when all the information must be returned to the Financial Aid office. A home financial study will be done for each applicant family. Photographs of the home will be taken and included in the study.
- The Financial Aid Committee will have the necessary information needed to make sound and impartial decisions with the completed application, supporting documents and results from the financial study. These decisions will be communicated by email to current ASF families by June 1, 2021 and to new ASF families upon acceptance.
While we have increased the size and scope of our Financial Aid program over time, our funds are not limitless.
