The Parent Association organizes events and efforts that build community, raise funds, support faculty and staff and enable parents to be more involved in their children's lives at school. It serves as an intermediary between the school and parents, building a sense of community among them and the student body. All ASF parents are automatically PA members.
Parents are encouraged to participate in PA events and attend monthly general meetings, where they can hear reports directly from the heads of school and learn about what’s going on at ASF.
The PA is involved in organizing a number of ASF events, including the Art Fair, book fairs, ASF Goes to La Feria, teacher appreciation brunches and cultural visits. The PA also provides hospitality assistance during other events and activities including Back-to-School Nights, teachers’ brunches and the ASF Kick-off. It helps new ASF families to make the most of their time at the school and in Mexico City.
The PA is also in charge of coordinating the ECC and LS homeroom parents, who are the PA representatives for each classroom.
All money raised by the PA goes back to the ASF community to enhance the campus, support scholarships, pay for events, purchase materials and more.
