Mexican Independence Day

ASF celebrated Mexico's Independence with a flash of color going into the long weekend in mid-September.

Each school held their own event to mark the 206th anniversary of Miguel Hidalgo's famous Grito de Dolores in 1810.

Students and staff dressed in Mexican red, white and green attended a flag raising ceremony, watched traditional Mexican dancing, participated in corn-eating contests and celebrated the freedom that we enjoy today with friends.
