The American School Foundation, A.C. is committed to promoting diversity within its community as stated in its vision and mission. ASF offers financial aid for students from kindergarten through grade 12.
Accordingly, recruitment efforts are intended to enrich the already diverse student body focusing on children and families who excel in the areas of academics, athletics, arts, entrepreneurship and community service, among others, but who might not otherwise have access to an ASF education.
To guide the Financial Aid Committee in granting discounts and scholarships based on the family´s demonstrated financial need, all financial aid applicants must follow the following procedures.
- All current ASF families interested in applying for financial aid for the 2017-18 school year must apply between Monday, January 9 and Friday, March 3, 2017.
- New families to ASF interested in applying for financial aid for the 2017-18 school year must apply between Monday, October 10, 2016 and Friday, March 3, 2017.
- All applicant families must pay a non-refundable application fee of $860 pesos by check or in cash at the Cashier’s Office. New families must first go to the Admission and Financial Aid Office for information. After paying the application fee, the receipt should be taken to the Admission and Financial Aid Office in order to pick up an application. The application will be stamped with a due date indicating when it must be returned to the Financial Aid office. ASF has contracted the services of Mariott & Castillo Consultores to do home financial studies for each applicant family. Photographs of the home will be taken and included in the study.
- The Financial Aid Committee will have the necessary information needed to make sound and impartial decisions with the completed application, supporting documents and results from the financial study. These decisions will be communicated by email to current ASF families by June 2, 2017 and to new ASF families upon acceptance.
While we have increased the size and scope of our financial aid program over time, our funds are not limitless.
