BUILDING ASF’S FUTURE, NOW.

The next major step in the Master Building Plan is the simultaneous implementation of Phases III and IV: Construction of a Fine Arts Center, a Wellness Center and new bleachers on Coach Colman Field. Renowned architect José Moyao, who designed the Mundo Imperial Auditorium in Acapulco and the Foro Sol in Guadalajara, will lend his expertise in performing and athletic spaces to this exciting project.

Phase III: Fine Arts Center
Estimated Cost: $3,800,000 USD

Fine Arts Center Exterior 

  • A worthy venue for operas, concerts and plays
  • Highly visible spaces for student work
  • A forum for debates, Model UN sessions and seminars
  • Opportunities for learning behind the scenes of a drama production
  • A safe venue for student-organized events like concerts, fashion shows and festivals
Will include:
  • Adjustable seating theater for performances, classes, conferences, etc.
  • Green room and backstage area
  • Art and music classrooms
  • Gallery space


Phase IV: Wellness Center
Estimated Cost: $2,850,000 USD

Wellness Center Double Court
  • Athletic, extended learning, physical education and flexible meeting spaces
  • Allows for different activities and competitions to take place simultaneously
  • Space for large meetings, festivals and more after-hours and weekend activities for students
  • An opportunity for higher-tech fitness equipment
Will include:
  • Double-court gym
  • Muitipurpose rooms for health classes and other activities
  • Fitness Room with cardiovascular and weight training equipment
  • Rooftop tennis courts
  • PE offices
  • Athletics & Extended Learning offices
  • School store
  • Locker Rooms

Bleachers Project

  • More covered space for spectators at ASF athletic events
  • New locker rooms for home and visiting teams

 

 

The Master Building Plan, until now
Completed:

Transportation CenterPhase I  was completed in December 2004, with the opening of a magnificent new football and track facility sitting astride the school’s new Transportation Center, which houses the more than 76 buses that transport all ASF students to and from school each day.
Total Cost: $4,000,000 USD

Upper School
Phase II, which was completed in December 2008, focused on a new Upper School and Administration Building, as part of a seamless transition by ASF’s students into colleges around the world.
Total Cost: $10,000,000 USD
